Information & Communication Technology (ICT) has reduced the entire world into a global village. Likewise the pattern of administration is also changing. Moreover, Government is committed to establish e-Governance as a part of Millennium Development Goals (MDG) to build a welfare society, based on sustainable development, equity, decentralization, elimination of corruption, participation of people in the democratic process.
The National ICT policy emphasized on ICT driven nation comprising of knowledge based society. The Government is gradually moving towards that goal by providing all required information to citizens and also providing efficient & transparent services.
It is my hope and firm belief that the web-site of the Ministry of Textiles & Jute could be helpful to everyone.
Since our web-site is at an early stage, the room for up gradation, standardization and development remains open. We welcome all sorts of suggestions or opinions for its further improvement.
